How to Store Green Beans

• Store unwashed green beans in a bag in the refrigerator. They last about 7-10 days.

• Make sure the beans are dry before storing.

• Blanch them in boiling water for a few minutes, then transfer into ice water. Drain and freeze in airtight containers or freezer bags for up to 6 months.

Green Beans with Garlic Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 lb green beans

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

  • 3 cloves garlic, minced

  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

1. Wash the green beans and trim the ends.

2. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the green beans and cook for about 3-4 minutes. Transfer them to a bowl of ice water. Drain well.

3. In a skillet, add olive oil and the minced garlic. Sauté for about 1 minute.

4. Add the drained green beans to the skillet. Toss the green beans. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
